I certainly wish you all the best, Gareth--and 'Denial' sounds like a perfect nickname.

But Yes, the things we do for love, no?

Hello there, I followed your link back and find myself at your site.

Many, many thanks for the kind words on your site. Believe me, the last weekend with Nile was a traumatic one which will probably scar my mind forever.

Our situation with the flat is not easy right now. My girlfriend and I were forced to make our relationship long-distance when I was relocated to Qingdao six months ago, whilst she had to remain in Hangzhou. A lot of my work is done at home, which thankfully means I can sometimes just bring my laptop to Hangzhou and work at her house for a few days. However, her landlord sold her previous house without warning last month, so she was forced to find a cheap alternative at very short notice: hence moving in with her flatmate Nile.

We hope that in a few months we will have saved up enough money to allow my girlfriend to pay the deposit on a new house (paying the first six months rent upfront, PLUS all other expenses, is no mean feat), but in the meantime it looks like we'll just have to tolerate Denial (my new nickname for her) for some while.

Thanks again for the post and enjoy your return trip around China!
